Espace A VENDRE returns to Drawing Now as a regular (10 participations in 13 editions) with 4 artists in 2021. Quentin Spohn, the youngest artist of our selection, will be in focus for his first participation in Drawing Now. His technique, of charcoal stone used on raw canvas (which is reminiscent of the black manner in engraving), feeds a lush and deeply satirical vision of contemporary society. Karine Rougier, a key artist of Drawing Now, will also be back with Espace A VENDRE. Putting on hold for the occasion her recent production of paintings on wood, she will propose new original drawings created especially for the show. Thierry Lagalla will continue to push the medium to its limits between gesture and thought, while Emmanuel Régent will present a new series of watercolors torn from sunsets, an impossible capture of an essential subject of the medium.
