Solo exhibition in the gallery of Espace A Vendre, Nice.

Eglé Vismanté was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, she lives and works in Nice. She obtained her DNSEP (Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression Plastique) in 2016 after studying at the Ecole nationale supérieure d’art de la Villa Arson.

In 2017, she was awarded the first Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation grant.

Her approach is based on a search for coincidences between her imagination and history in order to create micro-narratives. She is thus inspired by the idea of heterotopias – the concept coined by Michel Foucault – which defines them as concrete spaces hosting the imaginary.
